Experimental & Drama Techniques

An experiment is an orderly procedure carried out with the goal of verifying, disproving, or establishing the validity of a hypothesis. Hypotheses in our lives can be as simple as "I don't have confidence". Controlled experiments give us insight into cause-and-effect by demonstrating what happens when we make changes or try something different. Experimental & drama techniques are useful tools in the therapy session. Just making the call to see a therapist is an experiment in itself, an experiment in doing something different and discovering the answer to "what if".

Drama techniques are simply "acting out". This is another tool for finding the clues to what happens within our own minds, setting us up to repeat old patterns.
